Rest

It’s long overdue… you know how it can be right? You go and you go, pouring yourself out one thing after the next… and then suddenly you turn to the side, to the side God usually is found, and he’s no longer there. So you turn around, still running, and don’t see him. You stop, wait for him to catch up… he’s not coming, you left him behind.
If the above resounds with you, then it’s time for a break from whatever you’re doing, because whatever it is that is consuming your being, is futile because the one who breathed the passion and desire to do those things into you is no longer right there beside you where you promised he would be, where you KNOW he SHOULD be.
Maybe it’s because I’m a little obsessed with being busy, and busy=building the Kingdom of God… my math has never been that good. I have in fact found that busy≠building the Kingdom, busy=distraction from God. so i’m taking rest from my current situation; and am asking God to re-reveal to me what it means to serve him and live for only him. It will probably be a long process, not a quick fix. To be honest with you, i’m tired of doing stuff for the sake of doing stuff. I’m tired of trying to just please people, instead i’m going to please God first, do what he has called me to do.
