My Desire – Live
My Desire-click to play
Last Night we had a worship night at NorthRidge and we opened with “My Desire” by Phil Wickham. Check it out, let us know what you think!
Things to do… in bullet point form (yay)

So I’m not going to pretend that we’re all not crazy busy, or that for any reason I’m busier than you; but in case you might be wondering what’s on my plate… well here is a list of the insanity I will call my next few days.
- In a few minutes I have the great pleasure of heading to downtown Plymouth and sit with our team and dream up some creative ideas for our high school and junior high experiences this weekend. It’s fun times for sure, plus I get to enjoy a nice warm cup of coffee.
- Tonight is Epic, the college/post college/young person who should be in college who isn’t which isn’t a bad thing at all (why is the title of these types of ministries so long?) tonight. My friends and I will be leading some rocking worship tonight, and on top of the worship set, I have to learn “Wedding Dress” by Derek Webb, which is arguably one of the most honest songs that has been written in the last few years. I’m excited to play it.
- Friday will be a blast; I was able to clear my calendar and take the day off to spend with my wife and our beautiful daughter. My hope is to turn off the computer and ignore phone calls and texts all day long as we spend the day together doing whatever they want to do… there have been talks about the Toledo Zoo, so we’re hoping for some sunshine.
- I leave for Bogota’ Colombia in less than 7 days and that means it’s crunch time! Saturday I will be having band practice, and this practice will be taking place way to early in the morning… but you have to work hard and sweat a little sometimes in order to pull of great things for the Kingdom. We’ll be practicing songs for the camp we’re leading at in Colombia.
- The rest of Saturday I hope to hang out and spend with my parents who will be heading back to Sicily very soon. They are missionaries there and have been in the states for a few months now which has been amazing. I will miss them far too much and I know that our time together is coming to a close for now so I want to make the best of it.
- Sunday will probably come too soon and I’ll be back at NorthRidge getting ready for Velocity our high school experience. I’m looking forward to mixing some sweet audio for Adam and the band on Sunday night. I just know that God’s gonna do great things through the team as we make connections with high school students from all over the area and introduce many of them to a God who loves them.
- Monday= rest.
- Tuesday= rest.
- Wednesday= go nuts putting all the last-minute stuff for the Colombia team together, spending some time in prayer for all that I trust God is going to do.
- Thursday= Get on a plane with 17 other people bound for Bogota’ knowing thatas soon as those doors close i’ll probably lose it because it will be the first time I will be away from my wife and baby girl ever… so what’s on your plate today?
Where’d it go?
If you've ever been here before, you may have noticed things look a little different around here now. It's intentional. End of July/early August the Outloud EP will be released, along with a brand new website... We're all really excited... so make sure to check back often for some pictures, sound clips, and some videos about all of that fun stuff.
until then, i'll continue to update regular happenings here...
O how I love her
Just wanted to share some Joy with everyone out there. Our little blessing who goes by the name of Emery is just the most awesome kid in the entire world. Most days you can find Emery playing on her play mat or starring at the TV, or maybe just hanging out with Daddy or Mommy around the apartment. Emery will be 4 months old this Friday and we’re happy to say that she’s as healthy as any little baby could be right now. Recently Emery has discovered her voice and loves to laugh (and cry sometimes) and also pulls herself up to her feet if you hold her hands and help a little bit; When you go into her room in the morning you can always count on her laughing and smiling a huge tooth-less smile right back at you; recently it’s been the highlight of my day. Looking back over the past four months it’s been abundantly clear that God has been teaching and leading us through the life of a little girl. Patience, kindness, hope and joy are just a few of the qualities of the Savior that have been displayed to us through Emery. We’re so blessed, we’re so lucky, and we’re so loving life as a family right now.
CWC 2009
Change Without Compromise 2009 happened last week here at NorthRidge. As always I had the privilege to be able to lead pastors from all over in connection to God through song. The band and team was great and it was all in all a great experience. Here are some shots from the conference.
nananananananananananananananana….BATMAN!
Thomas doesn’t know I took this shot of him sleeping between sets at CWC09 this year…too much rocknroll, not enough sleep
I got to meet Jake, this kid who rocked a sick solo for one of our band openers… he’s far right, I think he’s like 12!
this is Steve, he’s a great guy, and a pretty amazing drummer. Steve composed a piece between him and Son Lux, it was pretty amazing. Oh did i mention he did it on a rotating riser?
Velocity in 30 seconds
So i was messing around with a time-lapse app on my MacBook. This was my first try; it’s our High School ministry at NorthRidge Church (Velocity) in time lapse (:30)
God is not a white man…
One of the best things you will watch all day. Thanks to Jarrett Stevens and Josh from Neue Ministry for posting this.
